Employees and taxes question

I think this might be an odd question but I dont know so here goes. I just started a small business. Its an llc. I am the only owner. Lets say I add a family member and pay them 25k a year. I have a regular job and now this business. So my yearly taxes are a combination of the job and business. How does that affect my personal taxes? Will the 25k be a write off? I am not sure how that works. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question
