Is dropshipping a good way to start with e-commerce?

I've recently been thinking about starting with dropshipping, but the wide variety of mixed opinions on the subject has completely confused me. If done right, will it be a good way to make money so that I can move on to grander ideas?

If not, what do you guys recommend is a good way to start earning money online, specifically when it comes to opening an online business?

It can work but normally it doesn’t, why would someone pay you double the price on amazon and it take 2 months for shipping? Well they wouldn’t.

What you can do is order from AliExpress and sell it for more because your in the USA and people will pay more for faster shipping.

I'd actually argue yes.

Will drop shipping be your big break and rake you in the millions? Probably not.

But what it does offer is a low investment opportunity to try and run your own business. Getting domains. Setting up a website. Working on getting delivery time down. Responding to customers. Deciding on marketing. Working on SEO. Setting up adverts. Managing budgets. Selecting a winning product.

The list goes on and on and the skills you will gain from setting it all up will stick with you for life.

I think drop shipping gets a bad rap for it's get rich quick style of presentation, but if you take it as a sort of training process for future endevours I feel it holds an unbelievable amount of value.

If you don't have any other ideas it's honestly not a bad thing to pursue. Make your store as good as possible and learn like hell. You won't regret it.

You have MLM-level chances of making money. Rather than trying to figure out how to make money without a valuable skill or market advantage, why not focus your efforts on developing a valuable skill or market advantage?
