Just started my venture. Any advice for the noob?

Hello Reddit! I just joined this sub and as my title would suggest I am a new Entrepreneur. I just started my ecommerce store for my pins (that I still need to get manufactured but different story for a different day). I’m a sole proprietorship and I need a business loan to get some equipment and to get my pins made. I can’t seem to get a loan because my credit is garbage. Can someone please give me some advice on what to do. And yes I am crows funding at the moment before anyone asks. This is not to selfie promote I just need some advice.

Ps. I’m in Wisconsin.

Tell me about the research you've done into demand for just what you're making. The value proposition or unique selling proposition when "build it and they will come" doesn't qualify. And apparently, unless I missed the memo on crows funding, we can give unbridled optimism a quick check mark. Crowdfunding requires the communication skill you have yet to reveal.

In other words, well begun is half done. And ... then there's this place.

Bro... Every time I see you in a thread you're needlessly shitting on OP and throwing personal jabs at them left and right. We just argued about this yesterday too.

>Crowdfunding requires the communication skill you have yet to reveal.

Why, exactly, did you say this? What specifically do you hope to achieve in this thread and subreddit? Because you're prancing around like everybody is supposed to beg you for your approval and shitting on them all at the same time for no clear reason.

Reading through your post history is like reading through a manic English teacher's diary while they're having an episode. You shit on everybody and, as I said yesterday, you dress it up in prose and odd sayings to make yourself seem less like a prick than you are. Like somehow being eccentric excuses your negativity and lack of helpfulness.

Stop.

Just, stop. You're clearly not interested in helping people. You're clearly here just to shit all over them in some sort of misguided mission to make yourself feel better. If you can't go A SINGLE FUCKING POST without personally attacking and insulting the OP, why are you even wasting your time commenting? You clearly hate this subreddit and the average poster.

Do your mental health a favor and pump the breaks.

The OP can distinguish themself with a post telling me about the research they've done and the value proposition. It's not shitting on the OP when they have these, or takes this as a prompt to develop them.

Only here would asking for basic business fundamentals be considered an affront to the dignity of the original poster.

>Why, exactly, did you say this?

Because it is probably true that information left out here is not, in fact, any kind of caution about getting dinged by a mod for promotion. The information isn't there.

This forum demands of a post the comment accept the improbable as bedrock truth. That a commenter make certain assumptions direct from a list of acceptable choices -- not others. Making this out to be an attack on the OP is a ploy, a decoy, a lie. Convenient no doubt. Nothing more.

Well begun IS half done. Only here is this profanity and an objectionable assault.

I'm harshing the collective circle jerk. Not ruining the OP's life. Give it a rest.

You’re right, AnonJian. I haven’t been clear. I wanted to make my post short and sweet but in doing so, I’ve left out some crucial information. So allow me to try again.

On August 12 I decide I was going to launch my e-commerce store where I sell hard enemies pins, stickers, custom sketchbooks, prints, and Tarot cards (coming soon). I have a set Of pins I created depicting the Lost Gots of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria. I have nothing. No money, shit credit and I’m looking for ways to get funds so I can make my pins and such and still sell them. I’m working on promoting my Kickstarter like there’s no tomorrow. Seriously, I’m sure people on my social media want me to stfu about it already. I’ve looked into getting a loan and I haven’t had any luck. I’ve heard of business credit but don’t know where to start. If anyone could give the noob any information that would be great. You can DM me as well if you like.

AnonJian

And didn't answer the questions. What could DM achieve? I won't find out.

Jesus H Christ man. What is your deal? All I’m asking for his how to get a business loan so I can run my business. Either you have information or you don’t: I said people were free to DM me if they either had further questions or USEFUL INFORMATION rather than being a wet sock. Good god.

See what I mean? You're being a jerk with absolutely no intention of helping anybody. That's why you embellish the FUCK out of the way you write - to confuse as much as possible so that nobody really knows how little you're actually saying.

>The OP can distinguish themself with a post telling me about the research they've done and the value proposition. It's not shitting on the OP when they have these, or takes this as a prompt to develop them.

It wouldn't be shitting on them if you just asked for it normally. Instead you had yourself a nice grandiose soap box session about how they haven't demonstrated they're capable of communication skills. Unnecessary, and a clear trend with you.

>Only here would asking for basic business fundamentals be considered an affront to the dignity of the original poster.

That's not what you've been doing. You also asked exactly zero questions - did you realize? Oh wow, see what I just did? I added a punctuation mark to indicate it's a question. Try it sometime. It helps when your questions aren't written as oddly worded statements.

>Because it is probably true that information left out here is not, in fact, any kind of caution about getting dinged by a mod for promotion. The information isn't there.

What on Earth are you even trying to convey with this sentence? "Because it is probably true that information left out here is not any kind of caution about getting dinged." Are you drunk? Any kind of caution? Is English a second language and that's why you're talking in this way?

>This forum demands of a post the comment accept the improbable as bedrock truth. That a commenter make certain assumptions direct from a list of acceptable choices -- not others.

Again - what? For trying to type in as overly complex a way as possible, you're failing to do the one thing language is meant to - actually communicate what the hell you're trying to say.

>Well begun IS half done. Only here is this profanity and an objectionable assault.

Only here do people expect others to not leverage 1,700 year old proverbs they picked up in philosophy class without explaining what the hell they're trying to say by it. Just more of your snide, "i am very smart" posturing dressed up in prose, and you pretending that was the part I'm calling out as an attack. Just dodging around.

>I'm harshing the collective circle jerk. Not ruining the OP's life. Give it a rest.

No you're making this a toxic and hostile place for people to post in. One confusingly overly verbose toxic comment at a time.

Doesn't seem like pin making equipment would be too expensive.. how much money do you need?

  Raven3mpress 1

I’m sorry. I forgot to mention these are hard enamel pins. I’ve talked with a manufacturer and after all math, it comes out to about ~$6k (with shipping) I want to sell stickers (die cut and sheets) and the equipment for that is about ~$400 for the machine I need. I’d also like to get custom packaging and pin backing cards. I’ve yet to figure out how much that would be. But I’m assuming about ~$1k If I stay with US manufactures. (Maybe more now that I think about it). Also just a button making machine is like $500 plus all the supplies. I’m asking a total of $12k and that’s to cover everything and help with more business expenses. But If I can’t get $12k aa long as I can have my pins and backings made that’s fine with me.
