I’m sure this has been discussed before, but just wanted to make sure answers were unique to my situation -

I am the part-owner of a home health contract company. I am a w-2 employee. I know my 1099 employees can deduct their mileage on their taxes. Am I able to deduct mine on my personal taxes or do I have to do it on the business side of things? I’d prefer not to take money out of the business for the mileage despite it being deductible if I don’t have to. Thank you!

Get reimbursed for the mileage from the business. An employee being able to deduct expenses from their personal income taxes has recently been reduced.
