I somewhat accidentally started a business selling some novelty products online. Did about $4K in revenue in August. I was not an officially formed business and paid for the all material costs and development out of my own pocket.
Fast forward to now and I’ve officially formed a business in my state, have a business bank account and in the process for a business tax license so I can start collecting that.
I’ve signed up for quickbooks but I have no idea where to start. Up until officially forming the business everything was done with my personal account and cards. Do I need to be recording the sales from that point on? What about expenditures made with my personal accounts?
I guess I’m really not sure where to start with all this. If someone could help point me in the right direction I’d certainly appreciate it
