My name is Andrew and I have just begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel for my small business. The past 6 months haven't been easy and I have had to make major changes in my business due to the fact that I was previously managing the marketing/advertising for mom & pop restaurants across major cities in America; unfortunately about 75% of my clients were restaurants, 80% of which canceled their services with me upon the government mandated shutdown.
Today, only 25% of my clients are restaurants and I have needed to accept that fact that I need to adapt to survive rather than wait for things to go back to "normal." That said, I am here to share with you that there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not coming from the past. It's coming from the future and the key here is to adapt. I am not trying to sell anything here, but just sincerely sharing my own personal experience through this pandemic.
From a marketing and advertising standpoint, there are less businesses advertising and even less adapting right now. Competitively speaking, this is the best time to be strategic and act quickly. The ones that have adapted to outdoor dining, promote targeted messaging, and effectively operate their new COVID-19 changes have been the most successful. The pandemic has even leveled the playing field for many legendary local businesses, dethroning them entirely as the new kids on the block make moves on opportunities.
Although I generally help local business owners drive sales to their businesses through digital advertising through Facebook, Instagram, Google, Yelp, LinkedIn, TikTok etc... I am making this post to offer my marketing education, experience, and insights to those that seek them.
Ultimately, as a thank you to the redditors who've found my boutique agency through r/smallbusiness and the community as a whole, I would like to help local mom and pops that are just getting back on their feet by providing them a consultative marketing strategy to ignite their journey to the light.
I love helping people and genuinely want to give back to this community. Feel free to reach out to me or drop a comment below and I'll be sure to help as much as possible.
Keep your heads up, although we might all feel like losers right now, these times will determine big winners as well.
