Recommendation for outsourcing eCommerce shop customer service

I currently have a team member do all the customer service emails, but we want to transition this to someone else. Does anyone have a recommendation for a professional, affordable outsourced solution?

We tried this earlier this year and became more complicated. ended up taking more time on top of paying a VA to handle it. The problem is they don't know whats actually going on with orders and not there to get first hand knowledge.

I would advise against it. Outsourcing Communication with your customers is a dangerous risk and removes a very easy leverage point to generate customer good will
