What's a great course/resource to learn the necessary math & financial knowledge to run a startup?

Hey guys,
in order to prepare for starting a business, I'm looking for a course that gets me up to speed with all the basic mathematical and financial knowledge needed to start and scale a company. I have a blindspot in this field and I want to change it - in order to make better decisions and be more confident.
Important: it should be practical, hands-on, and focused on what's really needed in day to day startup life (not too academic).

Is there anything you can recommend?

Thank you!

u/Classic-Coconut Hey, what is your biggest struggle with managing finances? What sort of business you are building? If you are interested I can provide personalized help 1:1 for free.

I would recommend you books not on corporate finance (they will not actually help you make everyday decisions).

You should better start with learning decision making. The best author is Nobel prize winner Daniel Kahneman's with his book "Thinking: Fast and Slow". It's a kind of book you really need to read in order to make better decisions in business.

Spoiler: While you have a chance to increase quality of your decisions, you will feel less confident in them after reading the book. And it's a good thing :)

What do you mean by financial knowledge, do you mean accounting knowledge or understanding the business metrics to track etc. Interestingly, I was looking to put together a blog post around the same but geared towards basics aspects of accounting and a few SAAS metrics.

Actually both - such a blog would be really valuable!
